We only do walk the Wight which is 3 different distances 8 mile Flat walk, 12 mile from Bembridge to Carisbrooke, 14.5 Carisbrooke to Alum Bay and the walk from Bembridge to Alum Bay 26.5. These all take place on 18th May. You may be thinking about the Walking festival which has nothing to do with us you can find out there information on http://www.isleofwightwalkingfestival.co.uk/

Hi could I also have a copy of the route with the grid references please. First year for me and the family and looking forward to it, even the dog is excited.
EMH Fundraising
I will email you a copy of the route with grid references but please be aware somr of the land is private, thanks for walking for us

why can’t you get a copy of the route from this web site, you suggest training by doing part of it, but how do we know ???????????
EMH Funding
There are parts of the route where we go across private land so we try not to encourage walkers. I will email you a route but if you could be aware of this.

We have recently been visiting relatives on the Island and enjoyed some wonderful walks. After hearing about ‘Walking the Wight’ we would love to take part. However is the walk always on Sundays as it is almost impossible for us to get back home for Monday morning and work?! (As I am a teacher in a ptimary school I can’t ask for time off and I am therefore not popular with the group of friends we walk with)If it is on Saturday next year we can plan ahead……?!

Hi Gwen

Hi,

A friend told me about the walk months ago. I just remember that it is next Sunday. Can I do the walk? Is there any possibility to registre on the Sunday morning?
Thank you for your answer.
Nicolas
EMH Fundraising
Hi Nicholas you can register at Bembridge from 6.30 - 8.15am or Carisbrooke from 9.30 to 12 noon at a suggested minimum donation of £10
Thank you for walking

I hope Carisbrooke will be better organised for those that have walked from Bembridge and are doing the full walk - last year was a nightmare - no signs and check point away from carry on path. You only seemed interested in those that were starting from Carisbrooke
EMH Fundraising
Hi Wendy
I’m sorry you felt there was a lack of signs at the Carisbrooke Check Point. We have more marshals this year and a town crier! Also last year the weather didnt help. All our walkers are important to us how ever far they walk.
The most important thing is that we are raising money for our patients, thank you for walking for us

Hi,
Please could you e-mail the route.
Thank you.
Regards
Andy
